Some Bits About Myself

"What is the meaning of all this?!" has been among the most recurring thoughts of my life since I was a kid. Quite unhappy with such unintelligible reality, I grew up as a geeky nerd finding answers to the meaning of life in all kinds of fictional worlds, imaginary spaces and play practices. My personal life story and inclinations (for reading, writing and teaching others how to beat a difficult level!), led me to become a scholar interested in the logics of meaning-making behind the interpretations of reality. In my academic work I research how we make sense of digital games and virtual realities as real experiences. Sometimes I sleep, bust most often I play, make others play or invent games.
